High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Limited Engagement Act 12 is the 2024 return of the cult winter release from High West in Park City, Utah, after the distillery paused the series to rebuild its stocks. Act 12 uses Rendezvous Rye as its base, a blend of MGP's 95% rye and High West's own pot-still rye made from 80% rye and 20% malted rye, then finishes it in Ruby and Tawny Port barrels and French oak before bottling at 98.6 proof.Drinkhacker rated Act 12 a B+, describing an immediately fruity nose layered with toasty oak and oxidized wine notes that recall Madeira, a peppery palate full of baking-cabinet spice, and a finish where menthol and raw cinnamon linger, with the Port influence leaning toward the nutty, oxidized Tawny side. High West's own notes read like a holiday menu: poached white peaches, stewed rhubarb, tiramisu, candied ginger, clove, espresso, brandied cherries, figs and pecan cinnamon rolls. It is a whiskey to sip neat by the fire, and it sells out every winter.Buy High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Limited Engagement Act 12 online with fast shipping right to your door.
