The DW Collector’s Series Purpleheart Snare Drum delivers a stunning blend of projection, sensitivity, and tonal complexity, built for drummers who demand uncompromising performance. Constructed from 13 plies of pure Purpleheart wood, this snare produces a deep, resonant fundamental with a powerful attack and articulate response, making it ideal for virtually any musical style. Featuring DW’s exclusive Vertical Low Timbre (VLT) shell technology, it offers enhanced low-end presence and smooth overtones for a rich, dynamic sound.
Handcrafted in DW’s California Custom Shop, this snare is equipped with DW’s finest hardware and components — including the MAG throw-off with a 3-position butt plate, True-Hoops triple-flanged hoops, True-Tone snare wires, and True-Pitch tension rods for precise, reliable tuning. DW by Remo USA heads ensure a responsive playing surface and professional-level tone right out of the box.
