Something to Notice｜ Home Decor ｜Original Blaxploitation Movie Poster - Petey Wheatstraw (1977)

An original U.S. one-sheet poster for Petey Wheatstraw (1977), the cult Blaxploitation comedy starring Rudy Ray Moore as the self-proclaimed “Devil’s Son-in-Law.” Widely regarded as one of Moore’s most beloved films, Petey Wheatstraw has become a cornerstone of Blaxploitation cinema and an enduring influence on hip-hop culture.
Among the highlights of DJ Amir’s collection, Petey Wheatstraw is one of the rarest surviving posters from the archive. It was acquired in the early 1990s from a Black-owned VHS rental store in Boston, Massachusetts, whose owner had previously worked at an independent Los Angeles cinema during the 1970s and preserved original theatrical posters after each film’s run.
This is an authentic first-release theatrical poster, not a later reproduction, and has remained carefully stored within Amir’s collection for more than three decades, resulting in exceptional overall presentation.
