Palm Republic was founded by actor Eric Winter, built around his love of travel and the cultures of the Caribbean and Latin America, with a lineup designed to move rum past its usual sweet, pirate-themed image. The Silver blends unaged rum from Jamaica and the US Virgin Islands, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) with no additives. It picked up a Double Gold at The Fifty Best 2025 competition, naming it one of the year's best white rums. One detailed independent reviewer specifically praised the brand's boldness in including real Jamaican rum in an unaged blend — most brands stick to neutral, mixing-focused profiles instead — speculating the Jamaican component likely comes from the respected Worthy Park Estate, and calling the result a genuinely enjoyable sipper even at standard proof, with real banana and coconut undertones. Expect a nose of tropical fruit, vanilla, banana, and warm baking spice (nutmeg, clove), moving into sugarcane, caramel, and pineapple on the palate, finishing smooth with toasted coconut and a whisper of citrus. Versatile enough for a proper daiquiri or mojito, but genuinely drinkable neat too, which is unusual for a silver rum in this category.
