Functional｜ Other Products ｜Nicaragua Cup of Excellence #1 Natural | 91.1 Score (75 grams)

Nestled in the highlands of Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, Finca Los Alpes has once again set a benchmark in the world of specialty coffee. Under the stewardship of Olman Valladarez, the farm's Natural Geisha variety has clinched first place in the 2024 Cup of Excellence with an impressive score of 91.10. This marks their second consecutive victory, underscoring a commitment to excellence and innovation in every harvest.
Grown at an altitude of 5,413 feet, the Geisha cherries benefit from the unique microclimate of the Dipilto Mountains. The natural processing method enhances the bean's inherent qualities, resulting in a cup profile that is both complex and harmonious. Tasting notes reveal a delightful interplay of floral jasmine, ripe berries, bright citrus, and a creamy milk chocolate finish, complemented by subtle hints of apple and caramel.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the team at Finca Los Alpes, who continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in specialty coffee production.
